MODULE 3 EMOTIONS | LESSON 2 >

In this lesson, we lean into the next part of working with your emotions in healthier and more skillful ways by looking at the beliefs underlying your emotions. As you learned last lesson, your emotions are your powerful guidance system -- now let's see what they're really showing you!

NOTE: You will CONTINUE your Module 1 & 2 Daily Practices throughout this Module! And just because this lesson is a little shorter than the others doesn't mean it doesn't need/deserve a good dose of your time. 🙂

In case you need/want to break this lesson up:

13:00-26:00 - Healing Your Emotional Triggers Exercise

26:00-30:00 - Homework

A NOTE ABOUT THE PM DAILY PRACTICE...

In this meditation we are using the practice of Emotional Coherence or Heart Coherence. I learned this practice from Tom Kenyon as well as the Heart Math Institute. The goal of this practice is not to live in a state of appreciation or gratitude 100% of the time. We'll all be shook by the emotions of sadness, frustration, jealousy, fear, anger, etc (called "incoherent emotions" in this framework). In Module 3 we'll dig into the value of every emotion. Various studies, including those conducted by the Heart Math Institute, show conclusively that when we are in a "coherent" state such as appreciation, our cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills actually improve. So there's that. For now, work with the practice in the evenings and throughout the day as you wish.
